Kingdom Secrets: Hidden For You, Not From You
The world is full of secrets and mysteries, some good and some bad. Whilst we’re wise to leave the bad ones alone, if we have an enquiring mind and a heart that wants to discover truthful answers, God is willing to share with us. Kingdom secrets aren’t hidden from you – they’re hidden for you, waiting for the moment your heart is ready to receive them.
God’s Province
‘The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law’ – Deuteronomy 29:29
God’s Invitation
‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened’ – Matthew 7:7- 8
Secrets of the Kingdom of God
Jesus said the secrets of the Kingdom are given – not earned, not unlocked by intellect, but entrusted to those who lean in with hunger, humility, and obedience. Kingdom secrets aren’t puzzles; they’re invitations to know more of God and His ways.
‘The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you’ – Luke 8:10
Jesus isn’t hiding truth from you. He’s revealing truth to you – through His Word, through Creation, Through His Son, Through His Spirit. This is what He did with His first followers as He taught them using parables that He explained to them. We need eyes to see, ears to hear and open hearts to receive.
Five Truths of Kingdom Secrets
1. Kingdom Secrets Are Revealed
The world says: Look for the formula through your own understanding.
The Kingdom says: See the answers through revealed truth.
Revelation is relational. Secrets flow to those who stay close with open hearts and minds. If you’re near the King, you won’t miss the Kingdom.
2. Kingdom Secrets Are Hidden in Plain Sight
Jesus taught in parables not to confuse people, but to sift desire.
The casual listener hears a story.
The hungry disciple recognises a message from God.
The same sun that hardens clay melts wax.
The same word that confuses some transforms others.
3. Kingdom Secrets Lead to Kingdom Living
It may take time, but God’s plan for your life is to become more like Jesus. Change is a process that begins with a new understanding – ‘Your Kingdom come; Your Will be done’!
A secret from God is never just information — it’s about formation.
Every revelation carries:
• A shift in perspective
• A step of obedience
• A seed of transformation
If it doesn’t change how you live, you haven’t truly received it yet.
4. Kingdom Secrets Grow in the Soil of Surrender
The more surrendered the heart, the more spacious it becomes for revelation.
- God doesn’t reveal secrets to impress you.
- He reveals secrets to shape you.
The Kingdom is not for the curious. It’s for the committed children of God.
5. Kingdom Secrets Turn Ordinary Moments Into Holy Ones
The Kingdom is like yeast – quiet, hidden, but unstoppable.
You don’t need a mountaintop to receive revelation.
You need attentiveness.
The whisper of God often hides in:
• A conversation
• A scripture you’ve read 100 times
• A moment of stillness
• A nudge you can’t shake
The Kingdom is always breaking in.
The question is whether we’re noticing.
Only The Beginning
Once you catch a glimpse of God’s plan, purposes and love for your life, it is the start of your journey with Him. The Apostle Paul was totally transformed through his encounter with Jesus from being a murdering persecutor to someone sharing the good news of God’s secrets revealed in Jesus. Countless churches and people have been touched by the turnaround in Paul. He learned the secret of being content in God whether he lived or died. The transformation we can all have is described by Jesus to be as radical as being ‘born again’ and becoming a ‘new creation’.
The Booster Prayer
Lord, thank You for trusting me with the secrets of Your Kingdom.
Give me a heart that listens, a spirit that obeys, and eyes that see what others overlook.
Reveal what I need to know for this season, and shape me through every revelation.
Make me a carrier of Your Kingdom today.
Amen.
