Next Steps

Reconnect to those you love

Thank you for taking this journey. This is a good point to take stock of how far you’ve travelled and the new terrain around you. Be mindful of the sights, sounds and feelings. Is it as far as you want to go or do you want to go further?

By the way, you know the final destination is home don’t you? When you’ve come this far, you might as well keep pressing on. We are all works in progress – God sees the finished work he’s doing in us so don’t give up now.

Prayer

My Lord and my God – I run to you and praise you that you’ll never reject me. Thank you for your compassionate forgiving embrace and that you are my Father who never fails or forsakes me. I lay down all my disappointments, failures, painful memories and excuses – forgive me for Jesus’ sake. Thank you that you wipe the slate clean and that your mercies are new every morning, so great is your faithfulness.

I’m going to need the strength of your Holy Spirit every step on the way of this reconnection process – please come to me and touch my heart and mind that I may be truly alive to you. Show me the next steps and grant me strength for the journey – keep me walking with you until you bring me home. Words don’t seem enough to express my thankfulness for a new start – I love and worship you. Amen

  2. Feeling disconnected can feel heavy, but remember: even a small ‘I’ve been thinking of you’ can be a light for someone. You don’t have to have all the words—your care is enough.

  3. If you’re feeling disconnected right now, know that small, gentle steps (even a short message or a shared memory) can start to bridge the space. You don’t have to ‘fix’ everything at once—just reaching out is already a brave, kind choice.

  4. This resource was really helpful for guiding my project—thanks for putting this together! I especially appreciated the step-by-step instructions that made the process clear.
