Was there ever something you really believed in that made you happy and feel secure … until someone came along to grab or smash it? Sometimes the doubt comes along because of a disappointment in a person or through an event; a hair line crack in the rail track signals disconnection or a train crash lies ahead.
Someone once said: ‘Doubt your doubts and believe your beliefs!’ If only it were that easy. Wisdom is required when looking at reasons for faith but courage is also needed when you confront your doubts.
If a building can’t take a few storms, then it wasn’t built too well. The truth is in the foundations – if they are poor, the building will collapse. Proving them to be sound will mean the building will endure. Friend, whoever you are, press on the journey to check out what is true and what is false.
